The streets of Solvang are lined with windmills and farm-style designs and architecture reminiscent of old Danish villages.

Tourists are welcomed with authentic Danish bakeries, boutiques, souvenir shops and an array of cafes and restaurants to indulge their taste-buds.

The Festivals of Solvang

Solvang’s is known for the many festivals it hosts throughout the year. Every September, the village hosts The Danish Days festival to celebrate its Danish roots. It’s the best time of the year to explore authentic Danish cuisine, music, dance and live entertainment.

In March, Solvang holds the Taste of Solvang and in December it hosts Julefest where visitors can explore Scandinavian cuisines and try the best wines California’s wine-country has to offer.
